Christina Wren wrote Saudade? in the summer of 2010. Initially, it was meant to be a short film until the story grew into what seemed like a few episodes that were then going to be a web series until she handed twelve episodes to her partner, said “What do you think?” He responded, “This isn’t a web series. This is a film.” And so it began.

The episodes were tightened into a final script, the rest of the actors were cast, locations were scouted and in the fall and winter of 2010-2011, Saudade? was filmed on the Cannon 5D between New York City, Pittsburgh, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. It stars Christina Wren, is directed by Demetrius Wren and is currently in the final stages of post-production. It will begin touring the festival circuits soon–keep an eye out!
